Finishing touches to the floor area

Just putting the finishing touches to the  floor area before we put the final finish on it, still wondering whether to use stone or manmade paving.

Most of the heavy dirty work now finished, have to decide on floor finish and fence shape and type now.

Fencing Post Hole

Burst pipe

Today went slow, the holes for our fencing posts are hard to dig and they have to be dug by hand as there are many different types of pipes underground. We also came accross a burst pipe with very old fittings. We replaced this. Something we never expected, but the shape of our garden is going to be determined by the underground pipenetwork.

Everything Cleared

Day 3 and all is cleared, We are going to local hardware stores to see what’s out there.

The Start

Etienne from France and me are going to try make a garden for the Gables. This Garden will have to be practical and not to expencive to build.

Our first day was spent clearing away farmyard materials.

The first egg

There was great “egg”sitement at The Gables and Longbowe today as the first egg arrived today, it was “egg”traordinary to see, and the kids were all “egg”static. Now we oficially have “Farm fresh” eggs.

Hen Party In Kilkenny!

As a result of the latest editions on the Farm The Gables and Longbowe self-catering will now have farm fresh eggs available, wer’e going to have fun putting names on this lot!
