The Refurbished Parade Kilkenny
April 15th, 2010Was out for a walk this morning and went along the new refurbished Parade beside Kilkenny Castle. Plenty of open space there now, the local farmers market takes place here every Thursday morning, well worth a look for those specia; treats.

Fencing Post Hole
Burst pipe
Today went slow, the holes for our fencing posts are hard to dig and they have to be dug by hand as there are many different types of pipes underground. We also came accross a burst pipe with very old fittings. We replaced this. Something we never expected, but the shape of our garden is going to be determined by the underground pipenetwork.

Day 3 and all is cleared, We are going to local hardware stores to see what’s out there.

The Start
Etienne from France and me are going to try make a garden for the Gables. This Garden will have to be practical and not to expencive to build.
Our first day was spent clearing away farmyard materials.
